Chat Overview
Every workspace in Paxalia has its own built‑in group chat. It's a real‑time messaging tool that lets you communicate with your team members without leaving the app.
How chat works
The chat is scoped to each workspace. When you open the Chat tab in a workspace, you see all messages from that workspace only. You cannot see messages from other workspaces.
Messages appear in real time for all members of the workspace. There is no refresh button — new messages appear automatically.
Sending a message
- Open the workspace and tap the Chat tab.
- Type your message in the input field at the bottom.
- Tap the Send button (➜).
- Your message appears immediately in the chat.
Messages are sent to all members of the workspace. There is no private messaging within the chat — all messages are visible to everyone in the workspace.
Message history
The chat stores all messages sent in the workspace. You can scroll up to see older messages. The history is infinite — you can scroll as far back as you want.
Messages are cached locally, so you can read them even when you are offline. When you reconnect, new messages will be fetched automatically.
Member filtering
You can filter the chat to show messages from a specific member only:
- At the top of the chat, tap the filter bar.
- Select a member's name from the list.
- The chat will show only messages from that member.
- Tap All to clear the filter and see all messages.
This is useful when you want to quickly find messages from a specific person, or when you're catching up on what a particular team member has been saying.
Who can see messages?
All members of the workspace can see all messages. There are no private messages in the workspace chat. If you need private communication, you should use external tools or invite members to a separate workspace.
Chat limits
| Plan | Members per workspace |
|---|---|
| Free | 3 members |
| Pro | 1000 members |
There is no limit on the number of messages you can send. The message history is unlimited.
