Workspace Basics
Workspaces are the foundation of Paxalia. They are independent environments that separate different areas of your life — like Work, Personal, Finance, or Learning. Each workspace has its own timer, notes, goals, timelines, timings, summaries, events, alarms, and chat.
What is a workspace?
A workspace is a self‑contained space where you organise everything related to a specific area of your life. Think of it as a dedicated project folder — but instead of just files, it contains all the tools you need to plan, execute, and review your work.
When you open a workspace, you see its own:
- Dashboard — a complete overview of your activity, notes, goals, and progress.
- Timer — track focused work sessions that belong to this workspace only.
- Notes — rich‑text notes with fonts, colours, and templates.
- Goals — track milestones and progress toward meaningful achievements.
- Timelines — view your time at the year, month, day, and hour levels.
- Timings — plan your day with a 24‑hour drag‑and‑drop grid.
- Summaries — write daily reflections with importance levels.
- Events — schedule recurring events with reminders.
- Alarms — set custom alarms with snooze and ringtones.
- Chat — real‑time group messaging with your team members.
Why use workspaces?
Workspaces solve a fundamental problem: life is not a single timeline. You have different projects, responsibilities, and goals — and they don't always mix well.
Here’s why workspaces make a difference:
- Separation — keep Work and Personal completely separate. No more switching contexts in the same space.
- Focus — each workspace has its own timer and history. Starting a timer in Work doesn't affect Personal.
- Collaboration — invite team members to specific workspaces. They only see what they need to see.
- Clarity — every note, goal, and timing belongs to a workspace. Nothing gets lost.
- Flexibility — create workspaces for anything: Work, Personal, Side Projects, Learning, Finance, Health, or even Vacation Planning.
How many workspaces can I have?
| Plan | Workspaces |
|---|---|
| Free | 5 workspaces |
| Pro | 100 workspaces |
Free users get 5 workspaces — enough to separate Work, Personal, Finance, Learning, and one side project. Pro users get 100 workspaces, which is effectively unlimited for any real‑world use case.
Workspace limits
Each workspace comes with its own limits, independent of other workspaces:
