Export & Import Data

Paxalia gives you full control over your data. You can export all your workspaces and data to a file, and import them later if needed.

Export all data

Exporting creates a complete backup of all your data:

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Export All Data.
3. Choose a location to save the file.
4. The export will start and a file will be saved.

The exported file is a JSON file containing all your workspaces, notes, goals, timings, summaries, timelines, events, alarms, pages, and custom themes.

What is exported?

The export includes:

• Workspaces — all workspaces with their settings.
• Notes — all notes with content and paper colours.
• Goal Books — all goal books with their goals.
• Timelines — all timelines.
• Timings — all timings with colours and descriptions.
• Summaries — all summaries with importance levels.
• Events — all events with recurrence and reminders.
• Alarms — all alarms with ringtones and settings.
• Pages — all pages with HTML content.
• Custom Themes — all custom themes.

Import data

You can import data from a previously exported file:

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Import Data.
3. Select the file you want to import.
4. Review the data that will be imported.
5. Confirm the import.

Duplicate detection

When importing, Paxalia checks for duplicates:

• Workspaces — skips workspaces that already exist (by ID or server ID).
• Notes — skips notes that already exist.
• Goals — skips goals that already exist.
• All other data — duplicate detection applies to all imported items.

Existing data is preserved. The import only adds new data; it never overwrites existing data.

Security

Exported files are stored locally on your device. They are not sent anywhere. You are responsible for keeping your backup files secure.
