Importance Levels

Every summary in Paxalia can be assigned an importance level. This helps you quickly identify your most significant reflections and track patterns over time.

The three levels

There are three importance levels, each designed for a different type of reflection:

⭐ Spotlight

Purpose: Your most important reflection of the day.

When to use:

  • You had a significant win or breakthrough.
  • You achieved a major milestone.
  • You had a key insight that changed how you think.
  • You want to remember this day as important.

Colour: Amber — stands out on the dashboard.

📋 Standard

Purpose: Your regular daily reflection.

When to use:

  • You had a normal productive day.
  • You completed your planned tasks.
  • You want to capture what you did and how it went.

Colour: Grey — clean and neutral.

🌀 Side Quest

Purpose: A reflection on a side project, a small win, or a learning moment.

When to use:

  • You worked on a side project or passion project.
  • You learned something new.
  • You had a small win that's meaningful to you.
  • You want to track progress on a non‑primary goal.

Colour: Blue — fresh and approachable.

How to choose the right level

When writing a summary, ask yourself:

  • Is this my most important reflection today? → Spotlight
  • Is this a normal, productive day? → Standard
  • Is this about a side project or a small win? → Side Quest

Where are levels shown?

Importance levels are shown in several places:

  • On the dashboard — each summary card shows its level as a badge.
  • In the summaries list — the level is shown next to the title.
  • When editing — the level is displayed as a dropdown option.

The colour indicator makes it easy to spot Spotlight summaries at a glance.

Reviewing patterns

Over time, you can review your summaries to spot patterns:

  • How many Spotlight days do you have?
  • What types of days do you mark as Spotlight?
  • Do you have more Side Quest days than Standard days?

This helps you understand what matters most to you and how you're spending your time.
